WASHI NGTON TOWNSHIP BOARDS
The Washington Township Supervisors They meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the municipal office meeting room at 7:00 PM. Others are held as needed Township Supervisors are : Daniel P Huff Jr., Wayne Allen, and William E Ball Ill.
The Washington Township Planning Commission is comprised of five (5) community members appointed by the Supervisors for a 4-year term. The board has the responsibility of reviewing proposed subdivisions within the township and recommending approval or rejection to the Board of Supervisors. The Planning Commission Board hold their monthly meeting on the second Monday of each month at the municipal office at 7:00 PM.
Planning Commission Board Members are: Dale Yarasavage, Russ Carney, Gerald Bennet, Wendy Brown and Mary Sayre. Township Solicitor: Atty. Edward Neyhart.
The Washington Township Zoning Hearing Board consists of five (5) community members appointed by the Supervisors for a three-year term. Their primary duty is to hear cases on individual requests pertaining to any possible deviation to the Zoning Ordinance. This includes Variances, Special exceptions, and interpretation of the Zoning Officer. The Zoning Hearing Board meet on the first Monday of April, August, and November at the municipal office at 7:00 PM. Hearings are scheduled on an as needed basis.
The Zoning Hearing Board Members are: Tom Stark, Gary Tewksbury, Mike Loy, Bill J aquish and Bill Miner J r.. Billy Ball IV is our Zoning Enforcement Officer.
Westgate Water and Sewer Municipal Authority is comprised of five (5) community members appointed by the Supervisors for a 5-year term. The boards' responsibility is to review the needs of the Water and Sewer plant. The Board meet on the second Monday of each month at the municipal office at 6:30 PM.
The members of the Westgate Water and Sewer Municipal Authority are: Wayne Allen, Linda Thompson, Lora Seidel and Larry Lechleitner. Vacancy, Atty. Anthony P Litwin is the solicitor . The plant operator is Larry Lechleitner.
